Netflix 有限影集《別人眼中的我們》（When They See Us）今年五月底上線後大獲好評，收視亦居高不下，為該平台年度前十大收視原創影集。今年九月獲十六項艾美獎提名，為 Netflix 入圍數最多的原創作品。外界皆認為本劇將再度襲捲金球獎，不料提名名單公布後竟全數落空，令眾人跌破眼鏡。

對此，《別人眼中的我們》導演阿娃杜威內（Ava DuVernay）看得很開，認為這些獎項都只是錦上添花。她在推特上表示：「我非常感激！這些東西都是錦上添花，有沒有它聖代依然美味，而這個聖代特別可口。OK，現在我想要吃冰淇淋。Xo」

《別人眼中的我們》未獲金球獎提名，不少媒體人紛紛在推特發言抱不平，認為是本屆遺珠之憾。還有人點出不少女性導演執導作品皆被好萊塢外國記者協會（HFPA） 冷落，而四十個電視演員提名，竟只有三位是非白人演員。

第 77 屆金球獎頒獎典禮將於 1 月 5 日於美國加州比佛利山莊舉行，《辦公室瘋雲》金球獎視帝瑞吉葛文（Ricky Gervais）將第五度擔綱主持人，並由主辦單位 NBC 進行現場直播。台灣時間 1 月 6 日週一上午 8 點 Blue Ant Entertainment 頻道將與美同步轉播頒獎典禮， 屆時 DramaQueen電視迷將於網站與 FB 粉絲團即時公佈得獎名單。（tvline、variety）
